I almost fainted right then and there. I couldn’t believe who was standing right in front of me.
“Hello, Madison,” he smiled.
“Alex,” I gasped, “I thought you were dead.”
“You thought wrong my love.”
He took a step towards me and I took 5 steps back.
“Madison, you seem distraught my dear. What’s the matter?” he asked.
“I saw the fucking pile of ashes! How can you not be dead?!” I shrieked.
He smiled and said, “I seem to have forgotten to tell you that I have, well had, a twin brother, Adam. Poor creature. He knew that he could’ve died if he did this. See my brother and I had joined the Voluri after you left. I asked them for help and they agreed, so we sent Adam to check up on you and see where you were. Apparently he found you because he didn’t return. The last time that we were in contact with him was right before you killed him. So we advanced from there, but we forgot that your little fortune seer would see us coming, and so here we are now.”
“You are one sick bastard you know that?! Why won’t you leave me alone?!”
“Because you are mine! Don’t you ever speak to me like that again, you bitch!” he yelled as he slapped me.
I fell to the ground, and I heard something, or things, fly over me. I looked up to see Emmett, Jasper, and Edward tackle Alex to the ground. I turned around to see Kory running out of the house. I ran at vampire speed and he caught me.
“Kory, it’s Alex! He’s back!” I sobbed.
“What?!”
“I know apparently he has a twin brother, and we killed him not Alex,” I continued.
“What is that mark on your face?” he asked, as he touched my face. I winced from the contact.
“Alex slapped me.”
“This time I will kill him!” he snarled.
“No! Edward, Emmett and Jasper have this.”

It wasn’t long after that we saw a stack of purple smoke rise into the air. And I started sobbing hysterically into Kory’s chest.
“Shhh, it’s okay. It’s over. He’s gone, just relax.”
Then I realized that the Volturi were still here, and at the same time Aro spoke up.
“What a pity. He really was a bright young boy. But he was of no value to us. But we do have another problem...”
“What is that scent coming from the house?” Caius asked.
